Bösendorfer Pianos Bösendorfer Piano Gallery

Only in culturally rich Vienna, could an instrument such as the Bösendorfer been born.
Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, List and Strauss are just a few of the musical giants
who lived and composed in this city, and influenced the world forever.
Bosendorfer-Liszt

It was in 1828, when Vienna was at the pinnacle of its cultural power, that Ignatz Bösendorfer created his first grand piano. Almost overnight it shot to fame, and within a short time Bosendorefer was the supplier of choice for many of the royal European courts.

Today, Bösendorfer pianos are considered a national treasure in Austria.  They are a source of enormous pride, and stand tall as part of the cultural heritage of its capital.

Bosendorfer ShowroomDifferent by design and built like no other piano in the world, the search for perfection is evident in every aspect of a Bösendorfer.  From the selection of the woods used in it’s making, and to the final voicing of a piano years later, the company has one goal in mind…to build the best musical instrument possible.

In a philosophy unique to Bösendorfer, the outer rim and framework are made of the highest quality spruce in such a way as to be an extension of the soundboard.  This special construction, referred to as “the resonation box principle” provides unusually great clarity, and a rich, sonorous tone.

Please visit us at your convenience to experience this unique, handcrafted instrument, and see why it is so often referred to as the “Rolls Royce” of pianos.
