The clear, transparent tone of the pianos from this small German make r has a
"historical" quality rarely found in other modern makes.
When visiting the quaint village of Lobau, where the Forster factory is located since it founded in 1857, it seems that time stood by, and that the manufacturing for these pianos has continued for over a century and a half with little change.
Preserving and transferring the piano building traditions begun by the founder, August Forster, from one generation to the next, has clearly been a priority for the Forster family, which continues to own and manage the factory to this day.
Making fewer than 150 grand pianos a year, and a similar number of upright pianos, these handcrafted performance pianos can be played at any time in our showroom.
